For the past several years, long term dedicated employees of GMH’s College Park Division have been finding their way to new employment. The “recently” appointed John, President and Rhonda, Vice President are completely inept in their positions. Ignoring the advise and wisdom of seasoned employees. Making bad business decisionand blaming others. Laziness which results in an emergency on every other employees day. The name calling done to employees, calling them “retarded” and “stupid”, when they have done everything in their power to better the business but had their hands tied at every turn by John and Rhonda. ….Most of this done to employees who were ignored when they asked for something the business needed or suggested something to improve the business. But congrats John and Rhonda, I hope you enjoy the severance package you receive for running College Park into the ground. IDIOTS!

Fall ‘07, I was hired as manager for BugCo, where I was promise salary and full benefits, despite a pay freeze they had been in since spring. I was manager for 4 months, with no health insurance or salary before I was fired. The other employees were given self evaluations to fill out before raises. The employees did this and raises ranged from .10 to .45 cents per hour. This company pays little over minimum wage. A net worth of 5 mil., which went mostly into their pockets. They are always understaffed. The owners Sandy and Gordy, have been heard saying how dumb their employees are. John, the plant manager, is worse, using that mindset and lying to his advantage. He used me to cover for his mistakes.When I was fired, I was told that I had been running shipping better than ever, but I didnt have “control” over my dept. Avoid this place, they never follow through with anything they promise, no matter how hard you work.

I have been working there for about a year now and its been hell… i have a horrible boss named chuck jordan. we have all tried to go over his head with the district manager and he is just as bad…he actually asked us what he should do…then he said we should treat our work like its a marriage..no we shouldnt!!! anyway..its a horrible place to shop and work…

I honestly dont know what to do anymore…if someone has any ideas on how to help us..here is some info that might help out.

I have been working at a company for four years now with a boss I can’t bear to stand. Within the past four years, I had 5 co-workers that all left because of my boss a tendacy to degrade and humilate my co-workers and those around her. It has gotten out of control before, having a record for cohab abuse. About a year ago, she has fought physically with the CEO of our company which he later called the cops on my boss. You might ask me, “why haven’t you left yet?” Well, the answer is simple, my boss is my mom. I work here because I need the money and I can’t fight back or just leave. But I feel like I need to do something in order for her to admit her mistakes and just be more calm in the work area.
